Tessa Thompson Rocks Four Looks Promoting ‘Hedda’
It’s been a busy week for Tessa Thompson, who’s been in New York City promoting her new film Hedda — and naturally, she’s treated us to a fashion masterclass along the way with four new looks.

Hedda New York screening
This first look from Maria McManus Spring 2026 — featuring a silk bomber cut in a luminous ice-white hue — gave the outfit a relaxed coolness, while the black midi skirt, finished with a subtle crystal hem, added just the right touch of glamour. It’s understated but full of personality, and exactly the kind of styling that makes Tessa so compelling to watch. I’m not entirely sold on the platform black pumps, but I do love the “just threw this on” ease of the overall look.

LIVE with Kelly and Mark arrival
Next up was a Tory Burch Spring 2026 look that felt bookish up top with the knit polo and matching cardigan, while the low-slung red leather skirt and black belt introduced a downtown-cool edge. It’s a clever mix of refinement and ease — the kind of contrast Tessa often leans into. Finished with mixed-metal chain Tory Burch pumps, the outfit perfectly captured that quiet, offbeat charm she does so well. It’s thoughtful styling without an ounce of overthinking — just pure instinct, executed with her signature confidence.

LIVE with Kelly and Mark departure
Leaving the studio, Tessa Thompson switched gears into something sharper, stepping out in a Commission Spring 2026 look that instantly felt like it belonged in a 1970s New York art scene. The structured jacket and sleek skirt had that feeling of someone heading from a gallery opening to an after-hours dinner downtown. The brown Mansur Gavriel Kiki pumps continued the seasonality, while the Jacques Marie Mage Besset shades and Hermès Birkin brought just the right touch of sophistication. It’s business, art, and attitude rolled into one — the definition of modern city-girl energy.

Watch What Happens Live
For her Watch What Happens Live appearance, Tessa turned once again to Willy Chavarria, proving their creative connection is far from a one-off. Dressed in a striking red look from the Spring 2026 collection, she’s clearly built a rhythm with the designer — there’s something about his tailoring that perfectly mirrors her presence. The sculpted shoulders and fluid lines hit that sweet spot between strength and sensuality, something Willy does so well. The Hermès Birkin was back, as were the oversized sunglasses, bold earrings, and those platform heels — which are still not winning me over.
