Kim Kardashian made her annual appearance at the BoF500 Gala during Paris Fashion Week on Saturday, and this time, it wasn’t just another red carpet outing — it felt like a much-needed style reset.

In order for Kim to stay relevant, reinvention is essential, and that includes her beauty direction. At first glance, her new cropped hairstyle might even have you doing a double take — the resemblance to Kris Jenner was uncanny — but that was clearly part of the point.

Her style has been circling the same orbit for years, largely defined by Balenciaga silhouettes. But with Demna moving to Gucci and Pierpaolo Piccioli redefining Balenciaga with poetic elegance, she can no flaunt that now fully deceased aesthetic. So Kim has to pivot — and pivot she did in this custom Courrèges Spring 2026 dress styled with Yeprem ear cuffs.

The look was rooted in minimalism and quiet sensuality, with Courrèges’ signature architectural lines doing the heavy lifting. The sharply cut halter neckline and draped skirt balance structure and softness in a way that feels undeniably modern.

While I personally prefer the runway version’s tonal continuity, I understand Kim’s decision to emphasise contrast. The white halter bodysuit against the off-white skirt creates a clear distinction of the two-pieces so we noticed the “depth” of the bodysuit.

Even with the new hairstyle, this feels like the first time in a while that Kim is letting the clothes lead, not the hype.
