Jodie Turner-Smith Wore Thierry Mugler Haute Couture To Disney’s ‘Tron: Ares’ Piccadilly Lights Event
To London via Málaga and Milan, the Tron: Ares press tour landed in the UK this evening, with a sneak-peek event at the Piccadilly Lights, where Jodie Turner-Smith arrived in another look that blended fashion, and futurism.

This time, she dipped into the archives for this Thierry Mugler Fall 2001 Haute Couture dress from the Les Fauves collection. On the surface, compared to her bold Greta Constantine, Schiaparelli, and Givenchy choices, this might appear more restrained. Yet the Tron identity was still coursing through every seam.
The design’s DNA stretches back even further, with roots in Mugler’s Fall 1990/91 Anatomical Computer collection.
The black bodycon base was overlaid with raised red velvet lines, creating a three-dimensional, circuit-like effect. It’s fashion history echoing digital identity—a perfect synergy for a film rooted in technology and virtual realities.

The plunging neckline and fitted silhouette added Mugler’s signature celebration of the female form, but here it was refracted through a digital grid lens. The result? A piece that feels timeless, futuristic, and thematic all at once.
