It’s the second track from her upcoming 16th studio album Here For It All, and marks her first album in seven years. Not that her absence has been felt all that strongly—after all, from Thanksgiving to New Year’s, she’s the undisputed soundtrack of the season.
For her TV appearance, Mariah leaned into a nostalgic mood in a Balmain jacquard leopard-print halter dress. The look was pure late-’90s fantasy, complete with chunky jewellery, sky-high platform sandals, and a high half-up, half-down hairstyle that Jennifer Lopez would be proud of. It’s a combination that feels era-defining—like a visual time capsule of Mariah in her prime.
Now, while this might not be topping any Best Dressed of the Year lists, it’s undeniably Mariah. Every detail—the bold print, the statement accessories, the confident pose—feels like her. I’m just not entirely sold on the hair colour or hair styling this time, but even so, the overall effect is exactly what you’d expect from a diva who’s always known how to serve a moment.
