Taraji P. Henson was in her fashion element as she hosted Megan Thee Stallion’s Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala in New York, serving up a look that was anything but understated.

Wearing a Rahul Mishra Spring 2025 Couture gown, Taraji channelled her inner empress in a sculpted black creation that was nothing short of exquisite. The asymmetrical silhouette, cinched corseted bodice, and that masterfully structured waist all worked in perfect harmony. But it was the intricately hand-embroidered, achromatic surface that really showcased the craftsmanship we’ve come to expect from Rahul Mishra. This wasn’t just couture, it was art.

While opera gloves aren’t essential to every ensemble (Ryan Destiny’s recent Schiaparelli moment springs to mind), in this case, they felt entirely deserved. The beaded tulle gloves didn’t distract—they added depth and drama in the best way.

With black René Caovilla Cleo sandals and David Webb jewels rounding out the look, Taraji reminded us that when she’s in her fashion stride, she’s unstoppable.
