Diana Ross Wore Eleven Sixteen by Ugo Mozie To The 2025 Met Gala

It’s been 21 years since Diana Ross last graced the Met Gala carpet, so if you were expecting a soft return… why? This is Diana Ross we’re talking about. Drama was not only expected—it was necessary. And deliver she did, wrapped in silver, sentiment, and a staggering 18 feet of feathers.

Diana Ross Wore Eleven Sixteen by Ugo Mozie To The 2025 Met Gala

Styled by Ugo Mozie and dressed in a custom creation from his Eleven Sixteen label, Ross made sure her comeback was more than just a fashion moment. The gown shimmered in silver, but the true sparkle came from the Swarovski-crystal embroidery: the names of her five children and eight grandchildren cascading down that endless feathered shawl. Family values, but make it monumental.

We’ve seen memorable trains at the Met—Guo Pei’s golden sculpture on Rihanna, Cardi B’s wine-red fantasy by Thom Browne—but Ross’ 18-footer is now in the history books, brushing up right behind Princess Diana’s 25-foot wedding train. Legendary doesn’t even cover it.
