Michaela Coel Wore Sacai To ‘The Kitchen’ London Film Festival Premiere
Michaela Coel attended the closing night gala premiere of ‘The Kitchen’ during the London Film Festival on Sunday (October 15).
The actress wore a Sacai Fall 2023 dress which saw the designer – Chitose Abe – dissect the traditional LBD with layered craftsmanship and by colliding pinstriped and plain black textiles.
Her designs are always a playful deconstruction of traditional tailoring, splicing different garments and materials to make something completely unique and infinitely wearable, which is dress displays.
On anyone else, I’m not sure those boots would’ve worked for me with this dress, but Michaela was able to sell the utilitarian air which dominated the runway show and successfully bring it to the red carpet without compromising on elegance.
That was the most impressive thing about this look for me.
