Kerry Washington's Critics' Choice Voluminous Ponytail

Kerry Washington Critics’ Choice Awards hairstyle had tons of volume and plenty of fluffy texture which was teased by celebrity hairstylist Takisha Sturdivant-Drew.

Kerry’s Armani Privé dress was full of the joys of spring, so Takisha complemented it with a fun hairstyle.

Takisha said, “Once I saw the dress, I knew I wanted to pull it back, but I still wanted to see her hair. So, we chose a sleek, pulled back look with lots of volume coming down the back. She looked like a goddess.”

Kerry loves wearing her hair natural and is keen on keeping it healthy.

Takisha washed Kerry’s hair using the As I Am Rice Water Micellar Shampoo, before conditioning her hair with As I Am Rice Water Conditioner to keep her hair hydrated.

As I Am Rice Water Spray was added to add more moisture and strength.

After drying Kerry’s hair, the fun part began as Takisha added hair extensions for fullness (you can recreate this with ponytails from Better Length in the US and Ruka Hair in the UK).

Takisha then blended Kerry’s natural hair using the Keracare Gelessence Moisturizing Geland, before pulling the hair into a low ponytail.

Uberliss Smoothing Ritu Oil was applied to the ponytail to smooth any unwanted frizz and flyaways and provide a healthy shine.
