Lupita Nyong’o Wore LaPointe & LaQuan Smith Promoting ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ In Mexico

Mexico was the final stop on the ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ promo tour for Luptia Nyong’o, and I’m sure it was a very emotional one for the cast without the late Chadwick Boseman.

Lupita had two press day looks in Mexico.

The first was a beautiful blue LaPointe sliced and cropped knit top and satin relaxed pleated trousers styled with Giuseppe Zanotti shoes.

I can’t say that I love the shoes (both the colour and embellishments aren’t working for me), but it’s so great to see Lupita in a striking hue again.

That was also the case for her second look from LaQuan Smith’s Fall 2022 collection.

Some of you may be of the opinion that the designer only makes model worthy, Instagrammable looks that are loved by the likes of the Kardashians, Kylie Jenner and Ciara, but this LaQuan Smith off-the-shoulder midi dress shows that the designer does make dresses that us mere mortals can wear.

It’s quite rare that we get a full matchy moment from Lupita, as she usually loves to mix colours, (the more the merrier), but on this occasion the actress styled her look with a red YUZEFI Moon bag and Manolo Blahnik sandals.

Lupita and her usual makeup artist Nick Barose tend to have more fun colour-wise which I love, but I did find Dana Delaney’s work a softer and refreshing change for Lupita on this leg of the tour.
