Amanda Gorman Wore Prada To The UN General Assembly

Amanda Gorman, poet, activist, and UNICEF Supporter, performed a climate and equality poem, ‘An Ode We Owe,’ during the 77th UN General Assembly which took place on Monday (September 19) in New York.

For a while Amanda and the colour yellow were synonymous, but for this occasion she opted to wear a white Prada nattè column dress featuring a boat neckline and geometric cape.

If this was for me, I would’ve preferred the dress to be more fitted to the body, but not everyone wants to present that silhouette.

Considering the event and her usual style, this shape worked for her.

The only thing I would question is the cape.

For me, it sits a little too far back off her shoulders, to the point that this looks like she’s wearing two separate pieces.

At first I thought this was part of the design, but when she was performing inside the venue the cape (which appears to be removable) sits exactly where I envisioned it when I saw the first picture.
