Jennifer Lopez Performs At The Blue Diamond Gala In Custom Roberto Cavalli Looks
Jennifer Lopez performed on the field at Dodger Stadium singing many of her greatest hits including ‘Let’s Get Loud,’ for the 6th annual Blue Diamond Gala charity gala.
The gala, hosted by the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation, took place on Thursday (June 16) in California, where the singer performed wearing five custom Roberto Cavalli looks.
Jennifer’s first Cavalli look was of course decked out with feathers, as the singer loves to make a dramatic entrance.
I wish we could’ve seen this mint look front on, as I’m very intrigued when it comes to the embellished bodysuit.
She also brought out a special guest to perform a rendition of ‘A Thousand Years’ by Christina Perri, with her 14-year-old Emme Maribel Muñiz.
They also wore Roberto Cavalli, rocking a fuchsia oversized shirt and matching shorts.
There were more capes to be had as the singer rocked the stage wearing an even more dramatic custom piece featuring an archival Roberto Cavalli re-adapted, inspired print.
I bet this was glorious in motion.
The cape was removed to reveal a two-piece look accented with metal coins and Cavalli panthers with gold crystals embellishments.
I have to say I wasn’t a fan of this look at all as I don’t find it very flattering. The sketch wore it best in this case, as both the top and skirt are too short for JLo.
Her fourth look paid homage to the host as her custom Roberto Cavalli, patriotic red, white and blue look was personalised with a “Jennifer” Dodgers logo patch.
It’s giving Dodgers cheerleader, but considering the event, it only works in the moment.
The last look which also has a sporty, baseball inspired vibe, but this Roberto Cavalli white crystal embellishment tracksuit styled with a crystals harness feels inspired by Jenny from the Block.
The archival print cape was my favourite here – mostly for nostalgic reasons – followed by the mint look for the drama of it all.
The others were event appropriate, but a little too cheesy for me.
