Deepika Padukone Wore Ashi Studio Couture To ‘The Innocent’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

As ‘The Innocent (L’Innocent)’ premiere on Tuesday (May 24) also served as Cannes Film Festival’s 75^th anniversary celebration, the jury members walked the red carpet together arm-in-arm.

I’m never a fan of this practice because you don’t get to see the gown in all its glory.

But that didn’t stop Deepika Padukone standing out and looking beautiful in this custom Ashi Studio Couture gown.

The colour is divine, I love the sculptural detail on the shoulder and how it trails around the back before falling into a train, but the pulls all over the dress are highly disappointing for a custom design.

It’s easy to get bamboozled because Deepika is radiant here.

I love her and the idea of the gown as both are worthy of praise, but the body of the gown needed the kinks to be smoothed out.

You have to be that magical to still sell this, which she does.
