Moschino @ The 2022 Met Gala
Anitta, Khloe Kardashian, Simone Ashley, Vanessa Hudgens, Madelaine Petsch and Michaela Jae Rodriguez, were dressed by Moschino for the 2022 Met Gala on Monday (May 2) in New York City, joining Ariana DeBose and Megan Thee Stallion.
Anitta usually serves up an overtly sexual style, but on this occasion she was on theme wearing this custom Moschino purple duchesse satin off the shoulder gown.
The colour, peplum, and draped pearls sold this look to me,.
Khloe Kardashian made her Met Gala debut wearing a custom Moschino gold hand beaded fringe column gown which may have been quite run-of-the-mill without the blacl exaggerated shoulder shawl and black satin gloves.
Simone Ashley’s trompe l’eoil bustier top made this the stand out look of this Moschino set, with the black satin evening coat and matching skirt injecting sophistication.
I love how this look feels youthful and modern.
As you know I am team Vanessa Hudgens, but I would’ve loved this sheer black lace embroidered Moschino gown had it not been so sheer, if you get what I mean.
Had the opacity been at least 50% rather than 5%, I would’ve been fully onboard with this look.
According to Madelaine Petsch, the puffy sleeve trend never went away.
I love the rich marigold hue and jacquard fabrication which was gilded metallic threads which looks divine against her red hair.
It feels like the fabric was taken from the archives as I’m detecting a rich history.
