Miu Miu @ The 2022 Met Gala

Emma Corrin and Maude Apatow were dressed by Miu Miu for the 2022 Met Gala on Monday (May 2) in New York City.

Emma Corrin continues to march to the beat of her own drum shunning the expected gowns.

This is the Costume Institute Gala, and this custom Miu Miu ensemble consisting of a brown wool check jacket, black vest and shorts does feel like a costume.

Styled with a W & W by Orlando Palacios top hat, Miu Miu white ribbed tights and patent leather lace up boots, the inspiration didn’t immediately stand out for me, so I was happy to discover that her stylist Harry Lambert said the inspiration behind this look was ‘The King of Dudes’ Berry Wall.

Cartier jewels completed her look.

Love or loathe, at least it is on theme and there was some method to the mad hatter-ness.

Maude Apatow went in a completely different direction wearing a custom Miu Miu Chantilly lace gown featuring black crystal and fringing embroidery which is paying homage to the 1920s flapper era.

From the dress to the styling, I don’t think she could’ve done much more to be on theme.
