Saint Laurent Pre-Oscars Event Hosted By Anthony Vaccarello

Anthony Vaccarello and Saint Laurent hosted a pre-Oscars party on Friday (March 25) in Los Angeles, California.

Maude Apatow was by far my favourite at this event.  Yes. Even over Zendaya.

Maude may look like a ‘80s flight attendant in this Saint Laurent Spring 2022 colour-block, asymmetric blazer dress, but I’m loving the sharpness, the sleekness and the nostalgia of it all.

I love everything from her wavy tresses to the pointy pumps,. I even love the blue leather gloves. She totally nailed this look.

Maude wasn’t an obvious Saint Laurent girl, but her recent outings wearing the brand prove that to be inaccurate, because it’s now seeming like the perfect fit.  

So kudos to – the brand, her, her stylist or publicist – whoever made this connection.

Zendaya opted to wear a dress from Saint Laurent’s Fall 2022 collection.

This was giving me a sleek supermodel vibe, but it won’t be regarded as one of her more memorable looks. But not every day has to be a BDOTY worthy day.

It was good to see Hailey Bieber back on the red carpet in good health.

I love how she took this Saint Laurent Fall 2022 look and made it her own.

Looking at this leather jacket, crop top and lace trousers, it’s easy for me to say that this is a Hailey Bieber look. 

Those lace trousers are making her legs look endlessly long.

The only thing missing from Amber Valletta’s ode to the Palmer girl, was a red lip, but she nailed everything else including her Saint Laurent blazer dress from the Spring 2022 collection.

Maggie Gyllenhaal wore the same Saint Laurent polo dress from the Spring 2022 collection, which we recently saw on Zoe Saldana.

As you know I wasn’t that excited about this dress on Zoe, but seeing it on Maggie, I starting to appreciate it more on Zoe.

In this case, it looks too big and bulky on Maggie.

Maude would’ve instantly recognised this Saint Laurent shimmering feather accented tube dress from the Resort 2022 collection when she wore it on Rosé, because Maude wore it to the Euphoria Season Two premiere back in January.

Zoe Kravitz had one job.  

Come in a look that represents Saint Laurent, like she does the rest of the year, and she dropped the ball.

Honestly, I’m not surprised as Zoe loves to march to the beat of her own drum.

Irish actress Jessie Buckley opted to do the same, as she was the only one – excluding Zoe, who didn’t opt for black at this event. And she was the only one to not wear Saint Laurent, as she wore a look from the Alexandre Vauthier Spring 2022 Haute Couture collection.

I like it, even if I’m not 100% sold on the proportions.
