Priyanka Chopra Wore Halpern To ‘The Matrix Resurrections’ San Francisco Premiere

Priyanka Chopra attended ‘The Matrix Resurrections’ San Francisco premiere on Saturday (December 18) alongside co-star Jada Pinkett Smith.

After her morning show looks from last week, I was cautiously optimistic that this was going to be a great promo tour for the actress.

Working with celebrity stylist Law Roach, I knew that there would be a thematic part to this look, and I was right as her Halpern strapless shimmering dress appears to be a nod to the Matrix universe.

On Instagram Priyanka said, “The colors of my dress are an ode to my character in the film, Sati. I can’t wait for all of you to meet her!!”

So, until we see her character, we will have to assume that this is a more than meets the eye kind of look.

However, I am undecided on whether I like this or not.

The fan is both an interesting and confusing detail.  It must have some reference to her character because this detail was first presented during Halpern’s Spring 2018 runway show

I do love the sequins, but I can’t say I’m a fan of the matching Louboutin shoes.

We often say that Priyanka tries too hard to be fashion forward, but on this occasion, it feels like an ode to the past.  Early ‘80s perhaps?

I like all the elements, but I think I would’ve loved this more as a wide-leg jumpsuit, which is one of Halpern’s signatures.

From the neck up, her entire beauty look is stunning.  That I’m totally sure of.
