Jennifer Hudson Front Row @ Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda 2021 & Dinner Party

Jennifer Hudson performed ahead of the Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda 2021 show in Venice, Italy this weekend.

Do I love this gold gown as much as last weeks Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda gown which I crowned my favourite from last week?

No.

The skirt just feels a bit…Frozen.

By that I mean it reminds me of those children’s Elsa costumes you get in toy stores.

Jennifer herself looks beautiful, but I’m struggling with the Disney princess skirt, but I get how it added to the drama of her performance.

Then she removed the skirt, but my emotions stayed the same.

At first, I wondered if recency bias towards last week’s look was clouding my judgement, as that was a far superior look, but what’s really throwing me off is the lack of embellishments from the knee down.

If this dress had the same consistency from the bodice to the hips I could’ve climbed onboard.

I don’t hate it.  I just don’t love it.  But to be honest, I’m really buying into her more than either look.
