Jennifer Hudson Wore Dolce & Gabbana To The 2021 BET Awards
Jennifer Hudson was one of the guest presenters at the 2021 BET Awards held at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday (June 27) in Los Angeles, California.
With all the near naked, attention-seeking looks at this event, I found this Dolce & Gabbana custom look really refreshing.
As you know I can’t resist a cape, and this one draped so elegantly from her Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2007 corset belt.
It seems like this belt is the accessory du jour now, as Priyanka Chopra wore one with her 2021 Billboard Music Awards Dolce & Gabbana dress last month.
I’m not sure the styling will go down all too well, but much like Ciara’s look, I’m vibing off the nostalgia of it all; especially the ode to Whitney Houston auburn ringlet curls and the “Respect’ necklace which is a homage to Aretha Franklin.
If I could make changes to this look; it would be the length of the skirt (I’m torn between knee or calf-length) and I would remove the halter straps.
