Cynthia Erivo Wore Valentino Haute Couture For ‘A GRAMMY Salute To The Sounds of Change’ Special

‘A GRAMMY Salute to the Sounds of Change’, put a spotlight on unforgettable songs that catalyzed social change.

With images of Black Lives Matter demonstrations and protesters in the wake of George Floyd’s death were shown on the screen behind her, Cynthia Erivo kicked off the celebration by singing John Lennon’s classic ‘Imagine’ solely accompanied by a pianist.

She wore a dress embroidered with silver pearls and rhinestones from the Valentino Spring 2021 Haute Couture collection for her performance.

Some might feel that this is an editorial dress, but I love the dual impact of the dress and her performance.  Both were incredibly powerful, and this was a risk worth taking in my opinion.
