As virtual premiere’s go, this is right up there with Anne Hathaway in terms of taking my breath away.
Nomzamo Mbatha has me believing that she’s actually in the royal country of Zamunda (I know it’s a fictional place lol), because she was looking every inch an African queen wearing this dress from the Tony Ward Spring 2021 Couture collection.
According to the designer, this dress is a pale tangerine colour, but between the reflection from the water and the sunlight, Nomzamo’s dress is more of a bright orange which looks heavenly against her skin-tone.
This is one dress I do not wish to be modified.
The crystal sleeve and head-covering only serve to enhance the rich, luxe feeling of this look which has plenty of cultural value.
I’m adding this to my BDOTY list with immediate effect.
The day before, the actress was given us fierce fashion wearing a look from the Bibhu Mohapatra Spring 2020 collection while promoting her film.
Some might feel that the emerald green pumps are too bold for this black and white dress, but I like the unexpected element they bring to this look.
