Regina King Hosts Saturday Night Live In David Koma & Etro

Regina King Hosts Saturday Night Live In David Koma & Etro

Regina King made her hosting debut on Saturday Night Live on February 13, where during her opening monologue she also spoke about how Eddie Murphy inspired her desire to host the sketch series and how Lorne Michaels helped her create her sketches.

The Oscar-winning actress looked very excited before addressing the mask-wearing live studio audience, with her first look from David Koma’s Spring 2021 collection.

She was not going to blend into the background wearing this bold neon yellow hue.

I love how the diamante embellishments dazzled as beautifully as her smile.

You might look at the hemline and feel it was too short, but it was actually a cute length on Regina.  We have to remember that these models are 6 ft tall.

Alongside Nathaniel Rateliff and Beck Bennett, Regina wore a second look from from Etro.

Etro is renowned for its signature paisley motif, so I love how this was only embodied in the shirt which was paired with a gold single breasted blazer and purple leather shorts to break up the boho vibe, and inject a edge.

If there were matching shorts to this blazer, I’m certain Regina would’ve rocked them, but I love how we have three different elements here.  A gold short suit may have felt too one note.
