Biden-Harris Presidential Inaugural Prayer Virtual Service

On Thursday (January 21), President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris and their spouses Dr. Jill Biden and Doug Emhoff, virtually attended the traditional national inaugural prayer service from the White House, while socially distancing.

The message of unity continued as both women wore similar shades in garnet and Bordeaux.

Kamala Harris: This was a first for me.  The first time I had seen the VP in a dress.  The dress with a matching coat was designed by Prabal Gurung who’s had the pleasure of dressing First Lady’s (Michelle Obama) and royalty (Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge) before, but that didn’t mean this moment was any less exciting for the designer.

On Twitter he said, “First day first look. I cannot tell you how grateful & humbled I am to be part of this moment in some way with @VP @KamalaHarris. The hope, optimism, intention and actions with integrity won and the healing for and the world starts now. XPG”

Dr. Jill Biden:  In the space of two days, Brandon Maxwell has become the go-to designer for the Biden family.  I adore this rich colour.  I just want to swirl it around in a glass and admire it, before drinking it in.

Personally, this was my favourite from the First Lady over the two days of activities.   I’m hoping that chiffon yokes will not make up a large part of her wardrobe going forward.

This is elegant, modern and chic, with a necklace adding a touch of glam.

Jimmy Choo nude pumps completed her look.

With Joe Biden in office, does that mean the annual White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner will be making a comeback?

It’s been four long years.
