Kamala Harris Wore Christopher John Rogers For Joe Biden’s Inauguration

On Wednesday (January 20) in Washington D.C., Kamala Harris took the oath of office, becoming America’s first female, first African American and first South Asian American vice president, alongside her husband Doug Emhoff.

While the internet was going into meltdown over Kamala and Michelle Obama fist-bumping, I was taking a closer look at her Christopher John Rogers purple moment.

This colour has been the theme of Joe Biden’s  Inauguration ceremony over the last two days, as the colour is associated with the suffragette movement.

Aside from the colour, the custom pearls by Wilfredo Rosado were probably the most interesting part of this look, as I wasn’t as excited about this look as I wanted to be, on account of the fit feeling at tad off considering this was a custom piece.

I would love Kamala to work with Meredith Koop who would’ve ironed out the kinks. No pun intended.

Manolo Blahnik ‘BB’ pumps completed her look.
