As we are back in full lockdown in the UK, the stars of ‘The Crown’ season 4 had to improvise to create that red carpet magic at home.
“If one cannot go to a premiere, the premiere must go to one (?). The Crown series 4 at-home premiere is underway,” said the Netflix UK & Ireland social media team on Thursday (November 12).
Helena Bonham Carter (Princess Margaret) celebrated the virtual premiere with her two adorable pooches making an appearance on the red carpet.
We know the actress for her love of all things Vivienne Westwood. I’m sure a Couture corseted number that had been created for this premiere, as custom gowns are made months in advance. No doubt is will be on ice for another occasion.
What can I really say about this Dolce & Gabbana look? It’s Helena to a T.
Gothic, bewitching, and is imbued with plenty of quirks, thanks to the styling.
Thanks to Chris who has pointed out that this was a rerun for Helena, as she previously wore this dress to the 2013 Golden Globes.
Olivia Colman’s (Elizabeth II) shot was my favourite, as you can literally see her couch in the frame of the picture.
The Oscar winner had an awards season run that was full of Prada and the occasional Stella McCartney look. I would guess this is Stella McCartney on account of the tailoring which the British designer is known for thanks to her Saville Row training.
Like Olivia, Gillian Anderson (Margaret Thatcher) also went for a very understated look wearing Christian Dior with jewels also provided by the French brand.
Emma Corrin (Princess Diana) is proving herself to be quite the one to watch during the promo tour. Her Richard Quinn dress was enough to put her on our fashion radar, but then she proves it was no fluke in Miu Miu.
The custom Spring 2021 harlequin ensemble kinda looks like she’s wearing a super short dress with tights, but I would say this was a top paired with stirrup pants.
Miu Miu platforms and drop earrings completed her look.
