On Tuesday (October 20) in London, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge got a sneak peek at the results of ‘Hold Still’ which is UK-wide community photo exhibition of images taken during lockdown, for which she and the National Portrait Gallery began accepting submissions back in May.
I was just saying last week than we’re heading into winter coat territory here in London, and with Sunday, October 25 marking the official day when British summer time (BST) comes to an end, Catherine’s winter wardrobe started five days early while attending this engagement wearing an Alexander McQueen red wool coat.
I’m sure this won’t be the last time we see the Duchess in this coat. We all know Catherine’s love for timeless pieces. The quality and cut of this coat will ensure that this will never go out of style.
The coat was layered over a white blouse and black pleated midi skirt, with her signature black Gianvito Rossi ‘Piper’ pumps.

What is new, along with the coat, is Catherine’s new bag from Grace Han.
The Love Letter top handle bag, much like the coat, is classic and timeless.
The Duchess completed her look with her favourite floral-print face mask from Amaia London.
