H&M has revealed that they are collaborating with an Arab designer for its new collection.
Sandra Mansour is the first Arab designer (2020 is becoming the year of firsts) to work with the brand in their historical line-up of designer collabs which have include Roberto Cavalli, Versace, Erdem, Giambattisa Valli and Stella McCartney.
The Beirut-based brand is known for its dreamy daring aesthetic that has a modern coolness about it.
Sandra always names each of her collections, and this one is called Fleur De Soleil.
The name came about after becoming fascinated with the way a sunflower follows the sun from day to night, and it was also inspired by hope and light in these strange times.
This collection will feature intricate designs in a muted colour palette with handcrafted details such as edgy ruffles and layers of romantic fabrics that create a youthful, empowering look.
We will be presented with a strong range of dresses, blouse, skirts, a tailored blazer, printed T-shirts and hoodies.
Fit-and-flare shapes and ruffled hems are mixed with volume and statement details in earthy colour palette of mushroom greys, ivory and black.
Sandra Mansour x H&M collection will be available at hm.com and stores worldwide from August 6.
I love how strong and feminine this collection is.
I’ve never considered myself as the tulle-lined skirt wearing kinda girl, but I’m totally seduced by these pieces, especially when paired with the hoodie.
