Kiki Layne Wore Armani Prive & Oscar de la Renta To The 2020 NAACP Image Awards
For my coverage of the 2020 NAACP Image Awards, I’m going to start with my girl Kiki Layne, who attended both the dinner and ceremony this weekend.
2020 NAACP Image Awards Non-Televised Awards Dinner: The ‘Native Son’ actress was giving us sophisticated glamour wearing a navy velvet and lapis blue satin Armani Prive Fall 2012 strapless dress.
Even with the embellishments, the look feels so clean and simple, so I’m glad she didn’t add a necklace.
Armani has always exemplified Hollywood glamour, yet always adopts a modern approach to dressing. This look is a glowing testament to that fact.
This dress will remain timeless 20 years from now.
2020 NAACP Image Awards: I do like this Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2020 dress. It feels a little more understated than we are used to seeing from Kiki, but I do love that she keeps things interesting.
I was particularly keen on how the mesh detailing and floral embroidery elevate the simple cut, but my first reaction to this look was I wish she had worn the Armani to this main event.
