Rachel Brosnahan In Brandon Maxwell – 2020 Film Independent Spirit Awards

Like Zazie Beetz, Rachel Brosnahan was also in the mood for love at the 2020 Film Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday (February 8) in Santa Monica, California.

In recent times, ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ hasn’t delighted you with her red carpet choices – but I feel that has been due more to the new hair colour than anything else – but she tried something totally new and fresh for this event that should get you talking.

Rachel paired a lip-print skirt with Bordeaux leather bustier from the Brandon Maxwell Pre-Fall 2020 collection.

As this was an event by the beach, a sarong was the perfect choice?  Right? 

Right?

I want to say right, but my head is saying wrong. 

Rachel wasn’t the person to sell this look to me. It needed someone with a lot more sass. I can see this working perfectly for Olivia Culpo or Laura Harrier.

I love the look in the look book, so I’m disappointed I don’t share the same feeling for the blue carpet outing.

Graziela Gems, Bondeye Jewelry and EF Collection jewels completed her look along with Chloe Gosselin velvet sandals.
