Ariana Grande In Schiaparelli Haute Couture – 2020 Grammy Awards

Ariana Grande In Schiaparelli Haute Couture - 2020 Grammy Awards

After floating onto the red carpet with a dreamy and vast tulle look at the 2020 Grammy Awards red carpet on Sunday (January 26) in LA, Ariana Grande changed into another big, gray gown before the show even began.

Perhaps she couldn’t choose between the two — as both could be siblings of each other, even though this second moment came from another design house.

The two-tone Schiaparelli Haute Couture custom design was a different kind of Cinderella princess moment with the ballgown bow skirt and embellished gray top.

All those clouds of tulle from the first look may have just been a bit unreasonable to sit down in — not that this skirt seems all that more seat-friendly.

I love the skirt but the top is amateurish.

Kind of wish the top flowed down into a column gown to at least make sense for the change but the seams on it are truly terrible and this is just not working for me

How is this Schiaparelli?? It looks very cheap.

This dress I love. My god the skirt is beautiful.

Another grey ballgown dress. What’s the point on changing of basically you wear almost the same?
    The skirt seems poorly executed.

    I don’t like either look.
    It’s just … too much.

This looks like a cheap pantomime costume.

I think the skirt is terrible, very poorly made. The fabric might work for curtains, but not here. And why is there a big seam at the front.? As lelaid has said, it looks like a fashion student project.

All that tulle, gloves and pretty make-up only for 10 seconds of red carpet appearance? She looks good in both but the first one is definitely a moment.

    This looks really cheaply executed.

This is as avant garde as Ariana will go. I like this slightly edgy -by her sugary tacky standards- take on her usual ballgown style.

Oh my god, yet again, the construction on these Schiaparelli couture looks is truly fashion student level.

Another dirty water dress. Ugh, no.

I thought I saw a 2nd dress, I think this one was first because she’s wearing the Valli in the audience.

I’m surprised she didn’t wear Givenchy, she’s still one of their spokespeople, right?

EDIT: there’s also a third dark green dress

    • Guest January 27, 2020 at 11:33 am #

Actually she changed back into the original one :p

    • Los_NGLS January 27, 2020 at 4:03 pm #

Nope, incorrect. She changed into a dark (forest?) green dress with matching gloves and giant emerald jewelry. You can see it when that Billie person accepted the song or record of the year award and mentioned that Ariana should have really won.

Nope, incorrect. That was the last look. So it went Giambattista -> Schiaparelli -> Giambattista -> Givenchy. You can check her instagram stories as a reference.

I’m not sure what you are taking about ?. I was referring to her last look, which was the dark green Givenchy. Was she not wearing that after her performance? Before that she was wearing the Valli in the audience.

    • Guest January 28, 2020 at 3:56 am #

Lol dw it needs a timeline. I was talking about your first sentence. So she did change back into the original one when she first sat down in the audience. And then the green one after the performance.

    • Los_NGLS January 28, 2020 at 7:53 pm #

      oh ok, gotcha!

  15. Phee phee January 27, 2020 at 3:08 am #

    grey again. hm.
The dresses are both beautiful but the color just irks me.
I think I prefer the first one. It was drama.
but they are both just princess gowns.
    the earrings are gorgeous.

  16. Guest January 27, 2020 at 3:03 am #

Nay. I prefer the 1st tulle look. This one is too “blanket couture” and the little tank top is a bit on the cheap-looking side.

  17. Guest January 27, 2020 at 3:00 am #

Was there a need to change?
    She looks great tho
    She served in both looks

    • Guest January 27, 2020 at 3:05 am #

Seriously, what’s the point of changing??
