Renée Zellweger In Christian Dior Haute Couture – 2020 Critics’ Choice Awards

Renee Zellweger In Christian Dior Haute Couture - 2020 Critics’ Choice Awards

Following AARP’s 19th Annual Movies For Grownups Awards, Renée Zellweger wore her third black, off-the-shoulder, column silhouette black dress to the 2020 Critics’ Choice Awards which took place at the Barker Hangar on Sunday (January 12) in Santa Monica, California.

Disappointed, but not surprised.

It seems that when you’re nominated in the best actress category, the course of action when it comes to the red carpet during awards season is to play it safe.

We saw it with Lady Gaga, and here again with Renee despite wearing an array of colours while promoting her film ‘Judy.’

On this occasion she wore Christian Dior Fall 2019 Haute Couture, with David Webb jewels and Jimmy Choo ‘Anouk’ pumps.

Let’s pray to the fashion gods for something different for the SAG Awards on Sunday.

Seriously how many celebs is Dior paying to wear their snore inducing outfits on the red carpet

    Feels like ground hog day!

I would have understood it better if she was wearing the same dress and trying to make a stand like Joaquin Phoenix, who’s going to be wearing the same tux/suit during award season (according to Stella McCartney). “For the environment/reduce waste”.
But wearing different, almost identical, black column dresses to every event baffles me.

It’s like a broken record with Renee but you can’t be too mad because at least she always looks polished(sans hair), just mildly annoyed. Her makeup is good here, she looks fresh faced.

BTW, do we know where else she’ll be appearing this awards season beside the SAG and the Oscars?

Ya, this is very deja vu. Its too much sameness.

I usually try to defend her choices, but this is indeed getting a little disappointing. The dress is actually quite lovely with the brocade details and the silhouette is slightly less straightforward. But she could have at least tried to change it up with a different pair of shoes. And it’s especially frustrating when so many of the other ladies showed up with grand looks. We know she can match them; I don’t know why she’s been choosing not to.

The way the dress gives her hips and the roundness of volume of the skirt is the couture magic and actually gorgeous. The fabric is stunning, very luxe.

Agreed—now only if it had come in red and she had chosen that, we wouldn’t be so restless!

Her all-black looks are so in-your-face repetitive, I’m actually starting to think it’s intentional. However, while her previous black dresses were beautiful and elegant, this gown is awful, dull and cheap-looking. No pass.

It must be intentional. There can be no other explanation, especially when we know she loves colour.

We have to get to the bottom of this 😀

So you know you’re likely to win every award known to man this season, and black strapless/shoulder baring dresses are you M/O??

    Sigh…

She’s kinda like Jennifer Aniston nowadays – too bothered to pick anything other than a black plain dress.

Feels laughable that this is couture, looks a bit sloppy for that label.

She looks good, as she always does. But at this point, I really want to see something different than off the shoulder/strapless black dresses from her. If it at least was in a color, but she has worn A LOT of black during this promo tour and award season and at this point, I feel like I need either a bigger variety in styles, or a bigger variety in color from her.

    So boring.

I actually love the dress, but the styling is underwhelming.

Renée just might take the cake for being the single most boring dresser in Hollywood.

That aside…is it just me, or does the skirt look lumpy?
