Ikram Abdi Omar hit the red carpet for The Fashion Awards 2019 held at Royal Albert Hall on Monday (December 2) in London.
The model is part of a number young women who want more than the traditional abaya, which has sparked rise of modest fashion, specifically in the case of young religious women.
Modest fashion is about covering yourself so as not to show your figure, but that doesn’t mean it has to be bulky or ugly.
The up-and-coming model teamed with up-and-coming London-based Couture designer, Ferona, whose beaded strapless dress and shrug, was made modest by Ikram’s simple addition of a long-sleeve top.
The silhouette is slight nipped at the waist, otherwise this would be deemed as a column dress.
From the neck up, Ikram is just as beautiful from the neck down.
