Natalie Portman Wears Dior For The L.A. Dance Project Annual Gala

Natalie Portman spent Saturday night (October 19) at the L.A. Dance Project Annual Gala held at Hauser & Wirth in Los Angeles, California.

Natalie, is a creature of habit, and by that I mean, she tends to stick to one colour 90% of the time, but on this occasion she opted for an embroidered white lace dress from Christian Dior’s Spring 2020 collection.

But I don’t think colour will be the focus of this dress.

The sheerness wouldn’t have been an issue for me has the undergarments either matched the dress, or been worn with a lining.

Black doesn’t work for me here, even if though embroidery does include black pieces.

This design is just bad. The material, color, redundancy, and the sheerness is all bad.

Starlets: once you get that fashion house contract, dump Kate Young as your stylist, because she’s too inconsistent.

Its a big no bc of the sheer. The undies on display look very silly. I also find it proportionately unflattering on her.

I can’t find the right words to say how much I love this look.

It looks a bit cheap. I might have liked it a little more with matching undergarments/lining.

I started scrolling down and was thinking, ok, this is nice…then I got to the bottom! My first thought was “swimsuit coverup”! It would have been much better if it was fully lined.

    I hate this. Hate it.

Oh no….I saw a picture of the top of the dress and loved it. But this full length view ruined it. Just a big no. The skirt should have been lined. The model’s version is much worse…why is she even wearing anything underneath?

I love you Natalie but this is a huge no. The top half of the dress is alright, but I hate the lower half. Also not a fan of the heavy eye makeup.

I say this sincerely, this would have been lovely at an elegant beach gathering.

I don’t mind the black but that skirt needed a lining.
