Day 2: Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge’s Visit To Islamabad

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge's Visit To Islamabad

Today (October 15), the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge paid a visit to Islamabad, where the Duchess served up two new fresh looks.

Sticking to blue, the Duchess continued to present traditional styles wearing a kurta at the start of the jam-packed day of engagements which began with a visit to the Margalla Hills National Park.

I was surprised that a few were disappointed that she didn’t wear a local designer on her arrival, as I was always confident that she would wear local designers during this tour.

And that she did, as this design was created by Maheen Khan, a Pakistani designer, who previous worked for Catherine Walker which was an interesting link.

Another pair of nude shoes were worn on this occasion, which are from the UK fashion retailer New Look.

I love how the earrings complements the embroidery.

Her second outing was meeting Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan at his official residence.

I’m so happy that bold colours are a theme of the royal tour wardrobe.

Her bright green Catherine Walker tunic was teamed with trousers by Maheen Khan, a scarf by Satrangi.

I really admire the Duchess for getting even the smallest details right.

Zeen earrings and a matching bag and shoe combination from Emmy London completed her look, which benefited from the half-up, half-down hairstyle which that high collar neckline.

    Great looks, both of them!
I love that she is being respectful and appropriate with her fashion choices, while staying true to her style
    The colours are divine

The second look. I could say the best dressed of the year among all the others I saw this far. Royal & gorgeous. 100% event appropriate.

Meghan – next tour I suggest you borrow Catherine’s stylist. This is how you do a royal tour. Beautiful colours and lovely traditional touches that are event appropriate!!
I am loving this tour sooo much already and it’s only Day 2

Catherine’s detail to being appropriate is second to none. I’m loving the colour range and tailoring of her outfits.

13 comments on a post about Kate Cambridge when other bloggers are easily running in the hundreds. Sad state of business, what happened here? It used to be my favorite blog….

I am here for colorful Catherine. I love that she ditched those hideous wedges for flats. I don’t care they are nude. The blue is so stunning against her. Both looks are perfection.

Love both looks. Even if the green tunic is reminiscent of a coat dress ?

Why does he never dress in theme? ?

He did for the nightime reception! He’s wearing a teal sherwani.

She definitely should lend her stylists to duchess of Sussex. They work amazingly.
The fit, the colours, the way she always look very appropriate and polished. I really applaud her and her team.

Oh my, she looks just so stunning. Love both looks

I also love how she looks neck up. She’s looks so fresh, young and professional at the same time.

Kate looks amazing in both outfits. She’s always so poised and regal. I hate that she gets so much criticism from some supposedly “feminist” websites.

The second look had the potential to make it in her own hall of fame, if she had chosen a pair of pants in different colours. It’s a shame this is such a culturallly thoughtful and event appropriate look.

It could be that green and white are the colours of the Pakistan flag?

    • Guest October 16, 2019 at 2:20 am #

Maybe, but the top is too bright and the colour of the flag is more dark green.

Okay stylist, I concede, you’ve won!

I love the second look, the green makes her eyes pop.

Fantastic looks . They make her blend so naturally. The first one could have been with different coloured shoes. But the second one is filling me with joy. Simple, elegant and fresh. Traditional becomes her! Hope she keeps wearing them throughout the tour.

ita – the second look is beyond perfection and into joy.
