Florence Kasumba Looked Regal In David Tlale For ‘The Lion King’ London Premiere

Florence Kasumba Looked Regal In David Tlale For 'The Lion King' London Premiere

There may have been a fan anointed Queen (Beyonce Knowles), and a Duchess (Meghan Markle) on this red carpet, but the only one giving me regal vibes at ‘The Lion King’ London premiere was Florence Kasumba.

The Ugandan actress used this occasion to spotlight David Tlale, a South African fashion designer, who is always inspired by his homeland to create such beautiful pieces.

This two-piece look needed someone with confidence and presence to make it come to life, and I don’t think anyone else could’ve presented this look as well as Florence.

I’m hoping we see more of her during this promo tour, as I love how she brought the spirit of African and Africans to this event.

This is something I was hoping to see plenty of during this promo tour.

Gold leaf Soboye earrings and gold cuff completed her look.

What the hell are my reading in the comment section, u guys like this?
This is so bad. So unflattering and baggy. The colour is terrible. Florence is a beautiful woman but this dress is not for her.

She’s got the presence for this but sadly, I don’t like the print, fabric or design of the dress.

    • Guest July 17, 2019 at 1:49 pm #

You really need to calm down

Amazing look. So regal. And what an interesting silhouette. BDOTW worthy for me.
I love her beauty look too.

I don’t really like the dress. I find it bulky and that is without the ruff, the removal of which was a step in the right direction. What I do love is that she is using this opportunity to show case an African designer. Big ups to Florence for that. Her beauty look is great.

Funny how you all love this look and had it been Beyoncé wearing it you would have all torn it down. You all are a bitter set who I am sure also lacks original style.

I don’t think people would have hated it. She just doesn’t have the height and body type for it. It needs someone tall and slender. Beyonce looks great in Versace. Anything that doesn’t show her thighs because they are not her best features imho. She also great in tailored suits. She needs to go back to whoever dressed her during her Crazy in Love era. She was always stylish and sexy but not tacky.

Well, it sure feels on theme. Far superior in quality and class to what Beyonce wore, thats for sure.
Do I like it? No. not really.
I find it too bulky and heavy looking. I think she IS overwhelmed by all that fabric.

BDOTW nominee for sure. She outdressed both B and Meghan. She looks like a star.

What a great look after so many same old stuff.

First I love the print. Bottom part is gorgeous on her. Wish if the front panel was smaller than this. It feels heavy and loose. Like the using of gold jewelry. She looks taller and skinny. I just can’t figure out how she looks skinny with that huge sleeves. They aren’t ugly either.

I don’t think is there anyone who can win this dress. Best dressed for sure and a memorable one after a while. Her smile is everything. Love it.

It’s a lot but she totally pulls it off. The outfit is not wearing her at all, she makes the outfit look good….she’s gorgeous!

Gorgeously regal, indeed! She immediately goes to the top of my best dressed list for the London premiere. Love the gold jewelry.
