Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Catherine Walker – Commonwealth Day 2019

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Catherine Walker - Commonwealth Day 2019

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge arrived to Westminster Abbey with other members of the royal family – including Meghan, Duchess of Sussex – in honor of Commonwealth Day on Monday (March 11) in London.

The festivities started off with an interfaith service, which saw the Duchess of Cambridge go from her new favourite colour green, to red.

Her Catherine Walker coat featuring military style buttons was first worn back in 2014 on her trip to New Zealand.

I have to say I’m even more enamored with the look the second time around, which she styled with neutral suede clutch and pumps by Emmy London.

Between the hair and the styling, the look feels even more regal.

+1 I completely agree. I really hate the buttons

I’ve been enjoying her style lately but this is a miss.

While I feel as if this was borrowed from Diana’s wardrobe, I do like this. It’s formal but eye catching.

I love it, she looks like a classic, which she is. Definitely prefer this fresh styling.

Did you guys catch Meghan and Kate kissing both cheeks of the other? So cute. Almost a public statement in response to the reports of tension between the two sister-in-laws.

Whilst I know that comments are divided on this one, I think she looks gorgeous in this vibrant red. I’m glad she repeted the coat with the sleek styling all those buttons require. I certainly never expected her to break new fashion ground at a church service with the queen present- but this is perfectly fitted and very chic!

I don’t mind the coat. The buttons could be better. Her accessories are the worst.
    Love the hat

I hate these kind of dresses (coats?):

However, I must admit she looks good nonetheless.

I liked this better the first time around because I don’t care for the forehead hats and the taupe accessories aren’t my favorite but I’m not sure what color would have been better.

Colour’s good but I wouldn’t mind never seeing these buttons ever again.

The change of the shoes and the hat and I find myself liking this outfit looks so much better than the 2014 one. Or maybe, it’s just diminishing expectations. Any which way it is, Duchess Catherine looks great here.

She looks very sharp. And regal. I like it alot.

From head to toe this is a really unfortunate outfit. It looks like a senior citizen’s marching band outfit.

The vertical buttons draw the eye to how tall and lithe she is. She’s matured into such an elegant, graceful figure I think that’s what makes this look feel so different to 2014 when she came across more as a bubbly girl.

The oversize collar and buttons make this look 80s/costumey with nothing to balance them out.
    Not a good 80s either..

“Jaunty” is the word that comes to mind. It’s not groundbreaking in any way, but it is cheerful, and appropriate for the event. The Duchess of Cambridge lives up to expectations, she just rarely exceeds them fashion-wise.

I have been waiting for her to rewear this. She looks great in red. I think she should this color more often. I liked the shoes and the hat. She looks very regal here.

The buttons on the coat are awful. It’s regal in that it looks like something the 90 year old Queen would wear.
