Juliette Binoche In Burberry & Jean Patou – 2019 Berlinale International Film Festival Premieres

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features Juliette Binoche In Burberry & Jean Patou - 2019 Berlinale International Film Festival Premieres

Juliette Binoche made the rounds at the 2019 Berlinale Film Festival. She attended the premiere of ‘Celle Que Vous Croyez’ (Who You Think I Am) on Sunday (February 10) and the premiere of the Netflix film ‘Elisa Y Marcela’ (Elisa and Marcela) on Wednesday (February 13).

‘Elisa Y Marcela’ Premiere: She embraced a puritan colour palette in Burberry Pre-Fall 2019. Gathers like this can sometimes have a rather unfortunate sagging appearance because of their placement, but there isn’t much trouble with that here. The long length elevates the style.

‘Celle Que Vous Croyez’ Premiere: Interestingly, her Jean Patou gown also featured a gathered bodice but a different sort. The frosty periwinkle blue is a different shade for her but she carries off the icy finish. It feels a bit like she could be posing this way to keep everything in place. The slashed back might be the real statement.

To me Juliette still looks gorgeous and beautiful no matter how the gowns are.

FC, why do Heather’s posts tell us about angles on the outfit that aren’t provided as extra photos? I would very much like to see the statement slashed back that she mentions on the second look.

    two unflattering dresses.

Both not good at all. The droopy boob fabric of first is ugly, the whole second dress is unflattering.

I thought the first was very odd, in a ‘why would anyone think this is a good idea’ way. It’s just universally unflattering.
Joke’s on me, because I scrolled down and felt like that thought was perceived as a challenge and now I’m being shown what a really unflattering dress looks like. It makes the first one look better in comparison is all I can say for it.

She should bin(oche) the gathered theme because it isn’t working in either dress.

    What happened to her ?
First look is not good, the 2nd is terrible!

No and for heavens sake, no. Could be I have been spoiled by her impeccable Armani Prive and unexpectedly fab Balmain looks. These just don’t measure up.

Quite honestly, they are both unflattering. It makes an otherwise lovely woman look saggy and dishevelled. The white one is mildly better if only because the fabric is more forgiving.

The second gown has to be one of the most overly designed and poorly constructed thing I have seen in my time reading this site.

Sad to see a label I love so much coming back with that second dress. Unflattering, overdesigned and I don’t like the color.

The Burberry would have been gorgeous without the boob covers (how else to describe them?). The second one is a disaster.
