Danai Gurira In Giambattista Valli – An Evening in China with WildAid

Danai Gurira In Giambattista Valli - An Evening in China with WildAid

Danai Gurira has always been our go-to girl for fashion-forward elegance, but she was serving up something totally different at the Evening in China with WildAid on Saturday (November 10) in Beverly Hills, California.

The actress looked radiant wearing a Giambattista Valli Fall 2018 abloom with vibrant florals, that lends a rare ethereal mood to her red carpet look.

Ruffles gives look a romantic finish along with her flawless makeup.

You may remember that Hilary Swank wore the shorter version of this look last month that was equally enchanting.

I don’t like this dress at all on her because I think it mays her look block but I applaud her for trying something so different from her more modern usual style.

Its a nice change from her. Not my favourite dress but she wears it well.

I like this long version of the dress a lot more. She looks beautiful in it.

It does seem like a longer version doesn’t it? But female celebs are generally below 5’8. Most actresses are below 5’6. Therefore the dress on the runway would reveal the 5’10-6’2 model’s feet.

P.S. Actresses tend to be petite because of misogynistic beauty standards and also because actors generally aren’t that tall, in the 5’8 to 5’10 range.

I agree with you on all of those points but I don’t think Fanny was comparing the runway version to Danai’s version, but to Hilary Swank’s (linked in post) obviously shortened knee length version.
