Meghan, Duchess of Sussex In Safiyaa

Following the Duke and Duchess arrival in Fiji, the couple attended a State dinner on Tuesday (October 23).

Meghan threw caution to the wind and opted not to wear to go-to black and navy blue.

On this occasion she wore a Safiyaa Ginkgo cape dress which was chosen specifically as the colour was ‘Fijian blue.’

This was once again a clever way to ‘diplomatically’ dressed out of respect to the country that she was visiting, while also referencing Britain as Safiyaa is a London-based designer.

Onto the dress itself.

It’s beautiful, but I just wish that the cap-sleeves didn’t feel so bulky. This is very apparent in the close up. My overall feeling is that the colour is really the hero here.

Perhaps the look may have been elevated had she worn her hair up, especially with those stunning earrings that needed a moment to really shine.

In conclusion, as far as cape dresses go, I’ve seen far better.
