Deepika Padukone In Anamika Khanna – 2018 Time 100 Gala

Deepika Padukone landed a spot on Time’s 100 most influential list, becoming the only Indian star this year to be included in the coveted list.

The ‘Padmaavat’ actor attended the Time 100 Gala in New York City on Tuesday (April 24) wearing a bejewelled Anamika Khanna ivory saree, with the designer’s signature delicate floral appliqué work and generous use of satin.

Her look was a glamorous number that exuded strong vibes of femininity that was befitting to the honor and the occasion.

I would love to see more Indian celebrities wearing traditional looks on international red carpets.

The horrid makeup and her skin lightening does nothing for this amazing piece. Sonam Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra or Aishwarya would have rocked it.

Not a big fan of the dress but she definitely is making this work.

While this is not a traditional drape of a sari, designer Anamika Khanna is known for contemporarising the drape!
Having said that, this is not the designer’s best work.

She looks radiant, but I’m not a big fan of the gown.

She is actully one of three Indians to be a part of the list..

Yeah, I think they meant in term of actors. She was the only Indian actor to be honored

I like this look. Her stylist isn’t the best, so I think for her standards, she’s done a pretty good job on Deepika. Love the Indian flavor here

Not one of her best outings, also given her potential.

I kinda like this, with traditional touch and shoulder detail plus she presents it so well and is so pretty.

Oops, thought it’s a custom Indian-inspired Ralph&Russo for a moment. The contrasting emerald jewels don’t go here.

The only things I like about this dress are the idea that Deepika is showcasing an Indian designer and the sari influence with the cutout.

Very bridal and I don’t the excess fabric hanging off the dress.

  12. Vizual Ninja April 25, 2018 at 13:55 #

Strangely, I don’t like this, too much going on.

  13. Caroline April 25, 2018 at 13:45 #

    Too bridal.

You do know Indians typically don’t view white/beige as bridal wear colors?

  14. Charlotte April 25, 2018 at 13:40 #

I don’t really care for the dress, I think it’s her impeccable styling who makes the look!
