Andra Day In Victoria Hayes – Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony
Andra Day took to the red carpet prior to performing a medley with fellow artist Lauryn Hill, for the induction ceremony for Nina Simone into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio on Saturday (April 14).
The singer often leans toward past stylistic periods instead of current trends. But she appears to be making trends of her own.
There are strong similarities to this look and her look for the 2018 Grammy’s.
On both occasions she wore Victoria Hayes – this one hails from the designers Fall 2018 collection – plus she also opted for a beehive hairstyle channeling Patsy Stone — a 1990s fictional character from the television show, ‘Absolutely Fabulous.’
Her gown in a honey-bee colour combination of yellow and black was also impossible to ignore.
The structure of the gown was a flawless suiting silhouette, and consisted of sharp lapels and gorgeous embellished buttons to create timeless and empowered look.
