Lupita Nyong’o attended the Essence 11th Annual Black Women In Hollywood Awards Gala on Thursday (March 1) in Beverly Hills, California.

The ‘Black Panther’ actress wore a Ronald van der Kemp Fall 2017 Couture dress made up of so many intriguing textural elements.

Usually with this much going on things can feel overcooked. But the jacquard, snakeskin, stripes and sheer trim all work together in perfect harmony, thanks to the edgy design and the confidence of the wearer.
