Saoirse Ronan In Gucci – 29th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival

Saoirse Ronan is my one to watch this awards season, and she didn’t let me down at the 29th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala on Tuesday (January 2) in Palm Springs, California, where she picked up the Desert Palm Achievement award for ‘Lady Bird’.

The actress wore a Gucci Spring 2018 dress which not only relies on bold orange and pink block colours and skilful cuts, but also some diamante detailing to make this a stand out piece.

I love that she didn’t hold back with her accessories including Fernando Jorge earrings and Gucci sandals for a touch more sparkle.

Those always seeking more will find this a refreshing change of pace to the slightly more expected gowns we saw from Mary J. Blige and Salma Hayek at this event.

This screams major player to me. What do you think?

she is Oscar ready if you ask me,and I can’t wait to see her looks from Golden Globes and Oscars

I think this look ages her a bit. I like the dress but the earrings are distracting and the shoes are at least one size too big, which is something I will never understand. I know how it works, everything is lent but I don’t understand how the shoes are often of the wrong size.

    Ugly dress, aging look.

Not sure if the hair feels a tad aging but overall I’m sold. I think the dress is fun.

She is too young for this! I love the make up though, she looks beautiful.

    Love the colors, so fresh.

She looks old here. The dress is fug

The dress looks kinda cheap and mumsy, and the shoes a bit too bulky.

Hair and makeup are perfect. That dress is tragic though the shoes are cute.

I’m not sure about the dress but I love the makeup, the hair end the earrings. The whole combo looks fantastic together.

I love colour blocking but this particular combination has been done to death. And that slash in the middle is like an enormous surgical stitch, a glossy one.
Fashion-wise it was a kind of dull event to kick out the year, imo.

      * I meant kickstart

Hair and make-up, those earrings, the colors of the dress – LOVE! That being said, the dress isn’t the most flattering one imo. But overall, I still like it and definitely am intrigued for her awards season run – I feel like it will be a lot more exciting than her last one.

Absolutely agree. Everything about the beauty look is incredible but there is something off about the dress – starting with the length and the sheen.

+3 Love the colors, but the fit and the length are just awkward

    • Amy January 4, 2018 at 07:58 #

      I agree
