Annabelle Wallis In Stella McCartney – The Fashion Awards 2017

Following the London Evening Standard Theatre Awards, Annabelle Wallis was back on the red carpet for The Fashion Awards on Monday (December 4) in London.

You can’t help but be entranced by shape, colour and design of this Stella McCartney Spring 2018 dress which marries fashion forward sensibilities, with sensual femininity.

So I found myself a bit disappointed that Annabelle opted to temper the silhouette with waist tie.

We all know Annabelle does glamour like no other, so it would’ve interesting to see her try something new.

Thoughts?

I don’t think she could pull off the runway shape so belting works for her. Maybe Solange (with darker hair) could work the runway version.

Way too summery and stiff. Looks like a bunch of red fabric. And I despise the shoes.

Well its infinitely better than the runway sack….but def not her best. not even close.

Good thing she opted out of wearing that shapeless runway version, it’s not exactly red carpet-friendly.

irrespective of the runway look, this is … ‘pulled together’ nicely čśë

I don’t understand how Stella is a successful designer.

I also found myself wishing she was bolder and opted for the runway version

I definitely prefer it on her over the runway version, I really can’t see the runway version working on a red carpet on anyone tbh, way too shapeless.
It’s a lovely look, I really like it.

i do not like the waistband, it tempers with the form of the dress and renders it somewhat basic. I love how it is presented in motion on the runway, but can imagine it looks like a sack otherwise.

I agree. Tying the waist makes it look zimmerman basic. Its lost its stella magic.

I prefer her version over the one on the runway but still think she can do better.

      I agree.
Plus, it’s a versy summery look, not really appropriate for the season in London.

+2 though even with the belt, it just looks huge.

+3. The fabric looks stiff, not the best.
