Kristen Wiig In Marc Jacobs – ‘Despicable Me 3’ LA Premiere

Kristen Wiig was also at the ‘Despicable Me 3’ LA premiere on Saturday (June 24) along with Alice McCall and Miranda Cosgrove.

Right off the bat, I’m sure many will be glad to see that she styled her hair into a fresher, less bowl-cut shape this time out.

But, the rest of her look could fall into slightly less favourable critique.

While I appreciate the playfulness of this brightly hued Marc Jacobs silk chiffon dress, the entirety of the ensemble just didn’t fully come together. The belt struck a constraining note, with her black wrap sandals ending the frock with a heavy thump.

The Irene Neuwirth One of a Kind bejeweled necklace also overcooked it while perhaps enhancing the slight twee factor of that poufy skirt.

Kristen, please, please, find another stylist. You deserve better.

I am so pleased with the changed hair that everything else gets a much-needed pass. It’s called diminished expectations.

It’s far from perfect, but overall, it’s still a fun look to me and an improvement over her last looks this year.

The hairstyle suits her, but I can’t say the same about the rest. I understand trying to echo the black accents in the dress with the corset and sandals, but a lighter touch would’ve worked better.

The corset/belt was heavy enough, but paired with those sandlas it does nothing to follow the fun of the colourful print.

I don’t like the jewels either, dare I say “cheap-looking”? And they compete with the dress. With that hairstyle, I would have chosen a colourful earring instead.

    Yep it’s over cooked.

Do you really prefer the platforms? Too heavy, isn´t it?
