While all the Golden Globes fanfare was going on, Gabrielle Union was impressing on another set of red carpets, first attending the premiere of ‘Sleepless’ on Thursday (January 5) in LA followed by the ‘Being Mary Jane’ premiere screening and party on Monday (January 9) in New York City. She kept the fun style vibes alive and well while out the following day, where she stopped by ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ at the Ed Sullivan Theatre.
‘Sleepless’ LA Premiere: This shimmering Thakoon gown had the two P words working for it: plisse and plunge—two trends that are having quite a moment, cropping up everywhere lately. I loved how she worked the twirl skirt on the red carpet, showing off its beautiful drape.
‘Being Mary Jane’ New York Premiere Screening and Party: The actress channeled all the flower power possible in this happy Naeem Khan embellished frock, which she accessorized perfectly with Sophia Webster Rosalind crystal-heel satin sandals and a matching yellow clutch.
Out in New York: I just cannot help but smile at the fun that Gabrielle is having with fashion. She combated the cold snap in New York City with a Dion Lee colour-block coat that was as fluffy and furry as could be—even if it did half resemble a shag rug.
‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’: Rich, rust-flecked hues and jewel-toned hues defined her Alena Akhmadullina ivy-embroidered dress topped with a matching fur-lined coat that popped with cerulean-blue satin.
