Juana Acosta In Oscar de la Renta – Gala Dinner for The Colombian President

Juana Acosta In Oscar de la Renta - Gala Dinner for The Colombian President

Juana Acosta attended a gala dinner held at the Royal Palace on March 2, 2015, in Madrid, Spain, for the Colombian president, Juan Manuel Santos, which would have been a huge honour for the Colombian actress.

She was certainly dressed for the occasion, wearing an Oscar de la Renta black Resort 2015 gown designed be worn to a gala.

Breathtaking beauty in its own right, the silver embroidery only serves to augment the already grandiose design, which needed little else, yet she styled the look with glossy waves and a glitter clutch.

A definite contender for BDOTW, wouldn’t you agree?

I think it’s perfect for this event. Imagine an event in the White House: drama but elegance. This is the same.

She carries off that gown beautifully, in fact she makes it look better than it actually is.

She’s drowning in all that fabric, and her hair should’ve been up to showcase the unusual top shoulder/back area of the dress. The dress is gorgeous, but once again worn by the wrong person.

The fit seems wrong, and the styling (bag) and hair are also boring. Not a BDOTW contender to me.

I love the gown and if Juana’s gown fit better and she had kept the belt and worn a bolder lip colour and had her hair up this would have been epic.

The dress could definitely have fit better and I’m missing the belt and perhaps another slight pop of colour via her nails or accessories. But I gotta admire her for not overcooking the look with jewels like in the lookbook!

I like that it’s so voluminous on her petite frame – it adds to the drama of the exquisite embroidery of the gown.

I miss the belt too. And I agree it is too long. The dress seems to own her, not the other way around.

I like it, it’s BDOTW worthy for me.

    Love this! She looks gorgeous

I miss the belt dearly, but that can’t account for everything. It indeed seems overwhelming, the clutch doesn’t belong either. Not a good look overall, although none of the individual pieces are dreadful.

Gorgeous, but I would’ve loved it more, had she worn the belt too.

I want to like it but it seems too big or long for her. She seems to get lost in fabric.
Also a lil color would of been nice to bring it out of the drabness. maybe a lipcolor or different clutch, or even a belt like in the lookbook. This is only okay

The fit of the dress is wrong here, maybe a size too big ?

+1 she looks tiny in it and I do miss the belt
