Gwyneth Paltrow In Ralph & Russo Couture – 2015 Oscars

Gwyneth Paltrow In Ralph & Russo Couture - 2015 Oscars

Gwyneth Paltrow graced the red carpet on Sunday (February 22) at the 2015 Oscars, hosted at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre.

The presenter and ’Mortdecai’ star wore Ralph & Russo Spring 2015 Couture.

Gwyneth looked elegant in a one-shouldered blush pink gown with an oversized rose detail on the shoulder. As usual, the actresses looked fantastic, but I wish she had opted for the more dramatic runway version of the gown, because she has the strong red carpet presence and fashion sense to pull it off.

Nevertheless, Gwyneth’s uber-feminine style was a breath of fresh spring-like air on the red carpet. And her super sleek hair and oversized berry-hued and diamond-encrusted drop earrings were a welcome dose of wow-factor.

    Best dressed.

I feel like I should hate it, there’s a level of camp to the flower that in someone else could look so silly. But Gwyneth can carry this look, she makes it work.

AMAZING! Effortless and stunning! Best dressed of the night for me!

  4. Kyrra Moore February 23, 2015 at 14:11 #

I like the dress better on the runway.!!!

She’s chosen a pair of not belonging earrings in exchange of the beautiful ruffles of the gown and it did not work. Her version looks nothing but tacky.

The Jewelry is Anna Hu ‘s !!!
A jewelry designer from Taiwan! Beautiful~
Naomi Watts in Anna Hu, too.

I’m surprised by the negative reaction this look is getting. I loved it and it’s on my best dressed list.
I love the colour and how perfectly it fits on her; I also love the striking simplicity that Gwyneth is so good at doing.
I’m not mad at her for altering the runway version, I think it would’ve been too fussy.

Exactly! I like her look too. I especially love the earrings. I think the runway version looks great on the young tiny model, but in real life on the more middle aged (I know she’s tiny, but still…) I fear it would have looked a bit 80’s ridiculous, so the changes were a good idea I think.

        +1

I like the runway look more. However, the pale pink looks gorgeous on her and her figure is to die for. I also appreciate the the tribute to her Oscar win years ago in a similar shade pale pink Calvin Klein dress.

How to say this nicely… I quite hate her for altering this dress.

  9. TeaAtTwo February 23, 2015 at 05:23 #

She looks nice but the runway version would have had me sitting up to look.

  10. Jenny February 23, 2015 at 05:22 #

Hot mess! The dress is wearing her. She should have worn torn ford instead, this is just cheap looking

  11. EmmaWoodhouse February 23, 2015 at 03:50 #

I am quite frustrated that she did not wear the runway version. I’ve already seen enough one-shoulder dresses, and goodness, the runway look is exquisite (although I might wish it had both short sleeves)! So it’s a disappointment for me.

First, I don’t like the fake tan, it’s too orange for this dress. And second, It’s kinda reminds me of Camila Alves last year look, it’s just the incomplete version of it.

  13. Bailey February 23, 2015 at 02:49 #

Now that I’ve seen the runway version, Gwyneth’s looks incomplete and boring. Her hair and makeup is beautiful but the whole look together doesn’t work. Wish she’d worn the original dress

  14. Prudence February 23, 2015 at 02:47 #

She ruined a perfectly gorgeous dress.
This has to be one of the worst oscars rc in a while yall. I mean it is basic gown after basic gown.

  15. Pedro February 23, 2015 at 02:13 #

She looks perfect! I really love it

  16. Meme February 23, 2015 at 02:10 #

Runway dress is gorgeous and Goop ruined it.

  17. Amber February 23, 2015 at 02:09 #

I like the runway version better too.

  18. Meme February 23, 2015 at 02:09 #

The runway dress is stunning; Goop’s version is meh.

  19. DivaDebbi February 23, 2015 at 02:07 #

Good God, I thought it was Heidi Klum.

  20. Yeliz February 23, 2015 at 02:03 #

I’ve loved the gown on the runway and she really should’ve kept all the details. Her version is just OK.

  21. Phoenix February 23, 2015 at 02:02 #

Runway version is far better. Its ok on Gywneth, but nothing intriguing.

  22. kane February 23, 2015 at 02:01 #

She should just stay away from dreamy, blush pink romanticism. Hasn’t worked in the past, won’t work now.

    • ayatlaw February 23, 2015 at 14:50 #

+1. I understand the idea, but the color and rose detail is not for her. I like vampy/cool girl Gwyneth best. She had a real style moment back in 2012.

  23. Christine February 23, 2015 at 01:58 #

I like the dress better on the runway.

    • Sleepless in Chicago February 23, 2015 at 20:38 #

Agree. Her version looks cheap, with the balance of the dress destroyed. Love the color.
