Cate Blanchett In Maison Margiela Couture – 2015 Oscars
Cate Blanchett graced the red carpet on Sunday (February 22) at the 2015 Oscars, hosted at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre.
The red carpet maven wore an unusually less-is-more style versus her typical wild card choices, but the Maison Margiela Couture design – created by John Galliano – looked sleek and effortless on the actress.
The high-neck column gown had a slight train with unfinished hem lines on the sleeves for a romantic feathered effect. Cate looked elegant and at ease in the gown, which she amped up with a bold turquoise floral bib necklace by Tiffany & Co. that beautifully mirrored the color of her eyes, making the jewels stand out even more.
As for beauty, Cate looked ethereal with a voluminous back-swept style, slightly smudgy eye colour and a nude-pink shade on her lips.
Do you love Cate’s unusually simple fashion choice, or wish she’d wore a statement-making gown like we’ve come to expect from her?
