Jena Malone In Valentino – ‘Inherent Vice’ New York Film Festival Premiere

Jena Malone In Valentino - 'Inherent Vice' New York Film Festival Premiere

Jena Malone attended the Centerpiece gala presentation and world premiere of ‘Inherent Vice’ held during the 52nd New York Film Festival at Alice Tully Hall on Saturday (October 4) in New York City.

The badass actress is quite the chameleon. This time she’s a feisty redhead, wearing a dainty mesh dress with colourful monkey embroidery from Valentino’s Resort 2015 collection.

I’m sure many of you would’ve preferred a nude lining; however, Jena was never going to play it that safe, instead wearing a bralet and hot pants beneath her sheer dress, which she totally pulls off with a great attitude.

Styled with pony croc blue pumps and a Valentino studded clutch, her new red hair was styled into two Dutch braids, with shimmering eye makeup bringing out her grey eyes.

Love the hair color. Would have loved the dress….with a lining. i hate the look of ‘hot pants’ which to me look like granny panties. The shoes are seriously dull. Love her though, and this new hair.

I love this. Jena Malone is such a fearless fashion plate.

I loved this until I realised these are monkeys. Now I’m not sure. Loving the colours though and her daring attitude.

This gown screams for fun and colorful shoes.

I kinda like this on her.

I love the red hair on her! I actually would’ve preferred a dark lining to make the print pop more. But I’m not bothered or sickened by this long-held sheer trend.

I don’t like anything about this look. The new hair doesn’t make her any favour!

  11. Guest June 11, 2019 at 11:45 pm #

I wanted to like this, because she seems to be comfortable in this dress, but the sheerness is just too distracting and not in a good way.

I think, she pulls it off, agree.

She does pull it off, but I think a lining of some sort would highlight the embroidery more. Having said that – with a lining, it would have been a Keira Knightley sort of dress.

Don’t know what to think of this look. I sort of like it and then I don’t and then I do again. The makeup is a big plus. But I don’t like the clutch and I wish she had opted for a different undergarment. Maybe something in navy blue?

It seems like “Catching fire” monkeys nostalgia))

Love this look! She looks great, and I particularly like that she made the look her own. The bra and hotpants might not have worked on someone else. I also like that she’s showing us a different spin on this kind of Valentino dress- I love how Keira wears them but a little variety can only be a good thing!

I would have preferred a nude lining but it doesn’t kill the look for me.
