Olivia Munn In Diane von Furstenberg – 2014 Met Gala

Olivia Munn In Diane von Furstenberg - 2014 Met Gala

Olivia Munn brightens up the red carpet at the 2014 Met Gala on Monday (May 5) in New York City.

The actress wore a yellow long-sleeve gown by Diane Von Furstenberg with Fred Leighton Jewels and Christian Louboutin shoes.

Yellow is certainly not an easy color to pull off, but I do think Olivia wears it well with her dark cascading curls and coral lip.

However, the extremely low cut of the dress feels a little too daring for an event of this nature, taking away from Olivia’s radiant beauty. Nonetheless, I do appreciate her fashion risk with this daring shape and color. How do you feel about it?

I absolutely love everything about this look! That color is total heaven on Olivia (the rest of us should be so lucky!). Add that to the plunging neckline, classic glam silhouette and styling, and she looks like a modern day Betty Paige!
Also, how is this any more inappropriate than the myriad other dresses from same event featuring a a plunging neckline (Jessica Alba, Coby Smulders etc.), not to mention the ones with a center slit to boot (Georgia May Jagger, Beyonce I’m pointing at you!)?

Too lowcut and the color is harsh.

Love her hair and makeup! She is gorgeous but not liking the too low neckline for this Gala

It’s a beautiful gown but her styling lets me down a little, I would have liked her hair up.

This definitely makes me think of those 40’s Hawaiian postcards featuring pretty island women. I like it. Somehow I’m not put off by the low cut on her, it brings it into the present day.

Yellow is indeed her colour, this gown looks stunning on her. Sadly the hairstyle lets the overall look down a bit.

If the neckline had been a little more modest, I would have loved this.

I like this, I just wish it were a little more interesting at the middle part of the skirt. It’s very sexy though.

I wish that strip wasn’t grey but I still think it’s a beautiful look. I don’t mind the low cut.

I think I am swimming in a sea of ambivalence, but I really like this!

I actually love this whole look. Yeah, it’s cut a bit low but it doesn’t put me off the look personally. And I really love the color.

        +1 she is ridiculously gorgeous

Oh dear. That neckline is just too, too much. And something about the dress is looking cheap to me. Not sure what/why. Maybe the fit? But the color is lovely on her.

I really, really love this dress and I really don’t like the piece in her hair.
